Instructions to Change the blades on a GrassGator 4620
Find the release button
There's no need to remove the GrassGator 4620 to change the blades.
Locate the plate/blade release button on the side of the head.
Open the plate to expose pins
Push and hold the release button.
While holding the button, slide the center plate counterclockwise to expose the pins. If you are not sure what part to slide, look for the U-shaped cutout between the release button and the blades. Push the cutout with your finger (as shown on the picture).
You can release the button now but hold the plate in place.
Replace the blades
Holding the plate open, remove the worn blades and replace them with new ones.
Doesn't matter which side (flat or beveled) is facing up as long as all the blades are facing the same way.
Release the button
Once the new blades are in place, release the plate. It will slide back in place.
Make sure the triangle and line on the side of the head align.
Your GrassGator head is ready to use.
