Line loading instructions for the GrassGator 5620 - The Rampage
The GrassGator Rampage Model 5620 is a Pre-Cut pivoting line head that takes 3 long lines (10" to 12" long depending on the cutting ratio of your trimmer) giving you 6 cutting ends. The discs pivot making it ideal to cut around fences, walls, foundations and other solid objects. It takes .095 line and comes pre-loaded with GrassGator Shaped commercial grade trimmer line. There is no line to wind or spools to bump to advance more line.
Remove the Old Line
To remove the old line turn the line holders to expose the side with the center loop.
If:
- There's no line in the head then go straight to the next step.
Get the New Line Ready
The 5620 takes 3 pieces of line about 10" long. It takes .095 trimmer line and comes pre-loaded with the GrassGator Shaped trimmer line. You can buy our pre-cut line models 5610 or you can cut your own.
Insert the New Line
Take a new piece of line and fold it in half. Insert one end in each of the small holes on the disc (either side). Keep pushing the line until the ends come out of the other side.
Pull the ends of the line to make it even on both sides.
Do the same thing for the other side and you are done!
If:
- The lines fly out of the head, make sure you followed the instructions above. If you stick one line in each hole instead of "weaving" it through the discs, the lines will fly out.
- You have the old black discs with a brass bushing in the center and the lines are flying out, call 1-800-210-9949 or e-mail us techsupport@cmdproducts.com to get the new discs.
Your GrassGator is now ready to use!
