The following instructions and recommendations are based on the data gathered through our 25+ years in the market. We do our best to list most brands and as many models as possible. We also try to make sure the information provided is accurate but please note, manufacturers can make running changes that we are not aware of until reported by a customer. We do our best to list those exceptions but keep in mind this is just a guide and the best way to troubleshoot an installation is to interact with a Technical Support Specialist either over the phone, chat, or e-mail.
Most Worx trimmers are AutoFeed types. We currently don't have anything to fit Worx trimmers
Most Yard Machine trimmers follow the curved shaft installation instructions including models: Y26SS, Y28, Y765, Y2500, Y2510, Y2580, Y2800.
The Y4800 follows the straight shaft instructions.
The fastener required for most installations is included in the kit.
Straight shaft trimmers 25ccs or more can use any of our heads. Curved shafts less than 27ccs and straight shaft models with engines less than 25ccs are limited to our lighter heads: 3600, 4700, 5600, 5620, 6700, or 8010.
Some Yardman straight shaft models like the YM70SS and YM71SS and the YM1500 follow the curved shaft installation instructions.
The YM21CS follows the curved shaft instructions while the YM90 and YM26SC follow the straight shaft instructions.
The YM4125CS comes with a fixed line head that requires the special adapter kit R5605. Call 1-800-210-9949 between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM Pacific or e-mail techsupport@cmdproducts.com to request one.
Yardworks YW2500 follows the curved shaft instructions with the correct bolt from the kit. It can use any of our lighter heads: 300, 4700, 5600, 5620, 6700, or 8010.
